The Themes in American History Project is a collaboative effort between the Center for Advanced Technology in Education at the University of Oregon, the Douglas County Educational Service District of Douglas County Oregon, and the High Desert Educational Service District in Redmond, Oregon. This work in funded by the United States Department of Education as part of the Teaching American History Program. In these TAH projects Elementary, Middle School and High School teachers learn and practice the techniques of historical inquiry, explore how themes are used to interprete historic events, and develop lessons and units to pass these concepts onto their students. |
